freeze drying sublimation process for tea production

The TENET Tea Process

Real tea. Preserved differently.

01 — Sourcing

We work with established tea-growing regions
known for their history and craft.

These are places where tea has been grown
and refined for generations.

Our focus is simple:
reliable origins, responsible sourcing,
and teas that consistently deliver character and balance.

02 — Brew

At the factory, the tea is brewed in large batches
using whole leaves and purified water.

This step extracts the flavour and character of the tea
in the same way traditional brewing does,
but at a controlled, consistent scale.

No extracts.
No concentrates.
No shortcuts.

Just properly brewed tea.

03 — Freeze

TENET Tea starts where traditional brewing ends.

Once the tea has been brewed,
it is rapidly frozen at very low temperatures.

This locks in the flavour and structure of the tea
at the moment it is brewed.

Nothing is added.
Nothing is removed.

The tea is simply preserved.

04 — Dry

Under vacuum, the frozen ice slowly turns into vapor.
This process is known as freeze-drying.

Because the water leaves without passing through
a liquid stage, the structure of the tea is preserved.

What remains is pure tea,
now in a fine powder form.

When water is added again,
the tea simply returns to what it once was.

WHY IT MATTERS

Why freeze-drying? Because it preserves:

  • Aroma
  • Structure
  • Complexity
  • Clarity

Unlike spray-dried instant tea, freeze-drying maintains the integrity of brewed leaves.
